A SIMPLE SALVATION
TEXT: JOHN 3: 16
INTRO:
Simplicity: God planned salvation because He wanted to
Simplicity: God performed salvation because He wanted to
Simplicity: God presented salvation (calvary) because He wanted to
Simplicity: God provided salvation because He wanted to
Simplicity: God wanted to, because God is love
(note: if God ever deals with you, it will be in love, for
God is love)
1) THE RECORD ("for God so loved")
the word "for" means "because, since, and as" (it is the beginning  word)
the word "God" means "one God, manifested in three distinct personalities"
the word "so" means "to extend beyond degree" (it is the boundless word)
the word "loved" has three distinct meanings:
a) extended love (goes beyong the normal deadline) (it is the borderless word)
b) extracted love (taken out of it's normal habitat) (this the the bountiful word)
c) expressed love
(agape love) (aorist tense) (means "once and for all- never
to be repeated (this is the beautiful word)

2) THE REASON ("THE WORLD")
not system, but inhabitants; not sin, but sinner; not container, but contents

3) THE RESPONSE ("THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON")
the word "gave" means "a bestowal or a grant"
the word
"begotten" (monogenes in the Greek) means:
"only born, sole, remaining, single, alone-only by themselves"
word
"mono" means "one and only"
word
"genes
" means "seed" (same word as used in re - gene - ration)
when God saves our soul, we are "regened" at the new birth

4) THE RECIPIENTS ("THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM")
the word "whosoever" means "all, any, every, the whole"
whether you are a "who's who or a so so, God will ever you
start this verse as a whoever and end it as a forever
the word "believeth" means "to have faith in, credit, entrust, persuaded,
trust in ("Him that cometh to God must first believe that He is")
not a general statement but specific "HIM"
the word "in" means "inclusive, presense, existance, position, action"
(not just a profession, but a possession
these three words transcend time, space, state of mind, and circumstances

5) THE RESULTS ( "SHOULD NOT PERISH")
word "perish" means "to destroy, lose, mar by seperation or departure"
results of faithlessness is judgment (John 3:18)
lot of folks have religion to live by but not to die by

6) THE REWARD ("BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE")the word "life" means (2 greek words) "to live" and "to breathe as a spirit or immortal soul"
the word "everlasting" means "and age by extension"
(never has an ending, it is extended by God endlessly)
